Big news from the Avrion team! We are very proud to announce that we have achieved our 1st year of Planet Mark Business Certification for reporting 2023 – 2024 and we are committed to cutting our measured footprint annually.
What is Planet Mark?
In case you haven’t heard, Planet Mark is a leading carbon reduction and net zero specialist. With over ten years of experience, Planet Mark is committed to helping business of all sizes find unified solutions to reduce carbon emissions, secure net zero targets, generate long-term business value and deliver meaningful climate action.
Why is it big news for the planet, Avrion and our customers?
Achieving Business Certification is the best first step to take on the transition towards net zero. Once Business Certification has been achieved, Planet Mark Members must commit to annual 5% reductions in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and measure some Scope 3 emissions that are within direct operational control (e.g., Business Travel and Waste).
We look forward to expanding our measurement remit to take strides towards net zero at a critical time for our planet. We are focused on continuous improvement and are proud to be a Planet Mark Certified Business.
We are not alone in realising the importance of businesses committing to transition towards net zero, most of our customers share our values and some of them are already on their journey towards net zero. As part of their Scope 3 Footprint Calculation, customers who are Planet Mark Business Certified will be looking to their supply chain to ensure partners, such as Avrion, are also doing their part to reduce their emissions, .
We hope to inspire those that haven’t taken the plunge yet – the certification process is thorough but not the big task that you think it is.
